Hey there Big Daddy! While this might look like an exceptionally awesome BioShock cosplay outfit, this fantastic getup is a real-life Carmagnolle Diving Suit, an Atmospheric diving suit, from 1882. It’s Big Daddy’s great-great-great-granddaddy!
Try to imagine submerging yourself in deep, dark water while wearing this 830 pound, articulated suit of armour. According to Wikipedia: “the Carmagnole ADS never worked properly and its joints never were entirely waterproof.” Yikes.
