He was funny, kind, entirely self aware, and a pleasure to be around. We played this game (I was 20 at the time) where I’d say, “Hey, tell me stories about being in porn, and don’t stop until you run out of new things to tell me,” and he’d just go. I’m not prude about porn, even though I don’t really pay attention to it. I have a few friends who work in porn today, and I wonder if they think they’re standing on Ron Jeremy’s shoulders the same way I do.
